Everyone seems to think he is upset about not getting more offensive starts. He loves his role he plays against the league's best players. He is playing for his boyhood team. He is staying a Hab forever.

The feeling I got from his comments were that he doesnt want to be used as a shut down man. Playing him with Puljujarvi or Neal would give him an offensive player to work with and they would just use the Khaira line as their shut down line.

You are criminally undervaluing Klefbom. This is a number 2 D-man on a good contract coming with a high end D prospect in exchange for what most of the league sees as two third liners and a 2nd round pick.

Danault is not a 2nd line player on a good team. I like the player but a career high of 13 goals does not get you a second line designation.

I don't even think they would want KLefbom and another LD.. more likely they would want JP or Benson as the prospect

Youre completely out of touch if you think a 40pt forward with one year left is worth more than a top pair left shot D (which montreal desperately needs) on a team friendly deal for 3 more years. You're not even worth the discussion if thats where you're starting lol

A. He had nearly 50 points in a shortened season this year (and 2.48 5v5 P/60, good for 29th in the league) with near Selke level defense, and B. There isn't a legit top pair LHD going to MTL, or really even a guy who would even be an upgrade over Kulak/Mete

Your assessment is garbage. I dont even like Klefbom but he is at worst regarded as a low end #2 defenseman anywhere that you look by actual respected analysts. If you think Danault and Domi together are worth more thats fair enough, but to say he is on par with Mete and Kulak is an absolute embarrassment to yourself
