Johnny Hockey is all offense and not much defense but the Sabres need that. Both Montour and Miller weren’t being used properly and the analytics on Mitts isn’t what it used to be.

Coop does a great job of holding line 2 down until Cozens is ready. He filled in on WPG in line 1 when needed. Big body center who would greatly help the team. Cozens could even start on wing. Also have to keep in mind the expansion draft

Why wouldn’t you do the trades?

I’m okay with most combos however they stuck Sam and Vic with Jack so so don’t see that changing. It’s now a / get Skinner someone to play with time if you won’t pair him up with Jack

I would do the Jets trade but switch the 20 1st for the 21 1st then OK for JG. We need forward depth in the system and this is a forward rich draft. From what I read next year is a DMan draft. Also JG would only be here for 2yrs where that 20 1st should be here potentially 8 yrs

there’s one reason and one reason only as to why i wouldn’t do the flames trade. gaudreau has two years until he hits the UFA market. he’s not resigning in buffalo. that’s a lot to give up for a rental. i’d hate to see the 8OA pick leave and a rental come in.

the reason i wouldn’t do the winnipeg trade is because miller is dahlins defense partner. dahlin plays the best when he’s playing with miller. i want the best possible rasmus dahlin and that’s going to happen with miller by his side.

Idk the end of they year they moved vic down with mojo and kahun and they looked great.
Maybe a
Sam stay with eichel but I never understood why it seems like he is the only player currently on the team that is capable of driving a line other than eichel but has been put with him almost exclusively

Gaudreau walks in 2 years and is the same player as skinner. Copp is over rated and both wingers suffer

Agreed mostly. Gaudreau produces more offense, but basically an all offense lw thats gonna cost a boat load to keep. The only thing worse than paying for gaudreau as a rental, would be feeling that you have to extend him to whatever contract he wants just because. Deja vu all over again.

We do need both but knowing they have to spend cap on the RFAs going back it’d prolly have to be this year to beat any other suitor. We don’t know if he’d be a true rental but if that two year period equals playoffs and Jack wanting to continue to be here I’m all over it. He seems soon to be out if things don’t change

We don’t know if he’d want to stay or not but it’d help with current year and keeping the morale up. We don’t need to envision in the future when we need to win now

I agree with the Miller point but he was scratched more than playing with Dahlin so I said move him along. I’d prefer to keep him but the staff doesn’t seem to be a fan

Not sure why it’s assumed he’ll walk for sure. You never know but a two year rental at worst would do a lot of help for a team with no consistent offense

Copp is not overvalued at all. He plays all situations and a big center that the Sabres need. Mitts and Cozens won’t be the answer instantly

A year and a half and you can trade him if needed be he’s elite and we have no offense currently across lines

How will Buffalo afford him, let alone him wanting to stay when he can go to any city.

I don't see Winnipeg having any interest that deal. They need Copp far more than Miller.
