Except Holl isn't worth more than a 5th and Gaudette is already a better player than Kapanen (Kapanen also doesn't even make the Canucks top 6) plus he's a center. Also the Canucks don't need PP help considering theirs was 4th in the league

Holl is easily can grab more than a 5th. Gustafson got a 3rd, forbort got a 4th that's basically becoming a 3rd, demelo got a 3rd, and skeji got a 1st and so on. Holl had better defensive numbers than all the guys but demelo who was equal to him defensively. So saying he's worth a 5th is joke of the year worthy

Talk about over valuing your players. Gaudette is not even close to better than Kapanen. Kap has him in every category, and that is while playing third line minutes behind 2 great RW. Give him top 6 minutes and playing partners and he is a 25+ 60+ player that kills penalties, and plays a three zone game. Gaudette had a career high goals because he had a higher than usual shooting percentage. He lacks physicality, his possession numbers tell a scary tale and as a center with a 41% face off percentage. He would be best to find his way to the wing.

Only way Canucks laugh is all the way to the bank because they just stole Kappy. Only thing that gives Leafs any value in this deal is cap space. But it’s not worth it.

Lol Canucks aren’t trading Gaudette for a winger. We have Boeser, Toffoli and Virtanen In the top 9. Gaudette only gets moved for a defenseman.

Fair enough. Although only one of Boeser and Toffoli likely stays. And if it was me it Boeser would be on his way out. Toffoli is great. Under that circumstance you’d have Kapanen, Virtanen and Toffoli. Not a bad top 9!
