You would be lucky to get McCabe for Strome, you’re not getting a high second round pick too.

CGY is not taking that deal. Especially with sending a pick back.

Bennett is a Top 5 playoff forward in CGY who can play C or W. And doesn’t cost a lot. That trade doesn’t make them better.

We need a 2C who can lead his lane without the help of a player like Panarin, it is desirable that he can still play well defensively, with all due respect, but I don't think this is Ryan Strome.

i would do mccabe for storme straight up. although based on trade proposals on this site, the buff fan base seems to value mccabe poorly. many have him being traded for a 3rd.

Strome is a 30 pt guy who can’t produce at a higher level without elite talent on his line. Buffalo already has players like that. He’s not a top six player on the team worth anything, he’s a good third liner though. McCabe is a veteran defender who plays physical and skates better than a lot of guys you would compare him to. Considering his contract demands I wouldn’t give up more than McCabe for Strome. If he gets $4 million that team will regret it.
