Yikes at Ennis for 2C and 4M. I’d be disappointed if Yzerman didn’t weaponize that cap to acquire short term dumps for 1-2 round draft picks. I’m also pulling for Raymond/Perfetti if we stay @4.

Agree and agree. No real 2C's on the market this year, and I guess this would be more of a Kenny Holland type of off-season. Hopefully Yzerman electrifies it!

Why do you want perfetti and Raymond over Rossi? You guys have some talent on the wings but championships are won through the middle of the ice. Rossi is the perfect pick

I could see looking at one of the teams that want to lose cap to get one of the following, Statsny, Bozak, Stepan or going Haula short term prove it deal.

I see Rossi as a winger in the NHL though due to size and skating. How many sub 5’10” centers are in the league with his skating? I think his skating is overblown but he isn’t exactly what I’d consider great either. Perfetti I’ve seen more of and obviously I’m projecting more growth as he looks like he’s 12 and will fill out which will help his skating. Raymond is that covers right shot we lack in our forward group and I like his overall two way game.

Rossi will be a very good nhl centre I’m almost certain. If you look at Suzuki on the Habs they are very similar. Small but sturdy enough, not great skaters but very smart and good puck skills. If you like the other two that’s cool, I’m just saying that a legit 2-way top c don’t come around everyday and you need them to win championships

I think there will be a lot of movement with the cap crunch and expansion draft, I hope yzerman can do some magic. Teams like florida and arizona lose money on good years, both will be trying to shed cap. No way arizona signs hall to a big contract and no way florida will be able to sign dadonov or hoffman.

If we chose Rossi, I’d be stoked I just personally like the other two a little more. Rossi has nice edge work and a crazy low center of gravity, you should check out what he did to Serron Noel if you haven’t already. Rossi seems like a Yzerman guy though with his leadership and work ethic.

I almost liked it until I say Perfetti at 4...I want Drysdale, Rossi, Holtz, Raymond, then Perfetti.

Either weaponize that cap or go after the PP QB LHD Krug. I think they actually have enough to do both.

I agree you aren't going to get true #1 or #2 center outside the draft. They are just to valuable teams aren't going to let them go. But does Detroit need a #1 or #2 center? Does Rossi have the size to be a true #1 or #2? Instead or reaching Raymond might be the right choice.

Raymond is one inch taller but weights 20 pounds less. If you think veleno and Larkin can be legit 2-way centres than draft a winger. I just watch Rossi and he is very smart with good balance, hands and iq. Obviously busts happen but I have a very hard time seeing him as a bust
