I find it funny how much I’m seeing Toronto replace Anderson with Murray. Really think better off?

Not better off in the player - Cap situation calls for it Anderson probably gets 7.5 - 9 per on a long-term contract - Murray younger comes in at around 5-6 AAV on a long term deal

Leafs fans are hilarious. Andersen goes 1.84/.936 and he's the cause of the problem? Same thing with Nylander, he's 4M cheaper and produced the same as Marner. Take a step back, breathe a little, and let an curtain of honesty reveal itself before your armchair ruins your team.

Murray for Johnsson, Dermott

Flip Kapanen for Johnsson and it's much closer, probably enough.

It's not so much as that Andersen played poorly, it's that the Leafs have lost 4 playoff series straight with him in net. He only has 1 year left on his contract and like someone has already said, he'll be looking to get paid. IMO, it's better to acquire assets for him now and bring in someone like Murray rather than lose him for nothing in free agency.

TOR needs to add Sandin....why does Freddie have value? 30th in sv% for goalies with more than 25 games.

Andersen is not without blame. He did let in a rather soft goal in game 1 and the 2nd goal in game 5 was a back breaker. Korpisalo was the difference in the series. Andersen hasn't been the difference in a series ever.

actually you are wrong here, anderson is a great goalie but he will want close to 10 on the resign this is just about setting up for future success get soemthing when you can instead of letting him walk and if a team would take marner over nylander i would do it but his cap hit is way to high for a flat cap.

The games he let in bad goals are also the games the Leafs scored 0 goals. Agreed about Korpisalo (and Andersen for that matter), but I don't see this as reason for a trade.

I understand the "get something while you can" angle, but a lot can happen in a year and the Leafs don't tend to move guys to "get something while they can" (See Exhibit A - Gardiner). Also, if you're part of the "Andersen-for-Murray" camp, you can leave right now. And relax on the Marner and Nylander stuff, those guys aren't going anywhere.

I am of the mind that Andersen is back next season but I am not opposed to making a move to bring in someone less proven and using Campbell in a tandem situation.
