The Bartschi trade is the closest of all of them, and it should at least be a 2nd rather than a 3rd. Don't see any of the other teams taking any of those deals.

Another vancouver post where teams do them favors and take cap hits for low costs, getting more and more used to them on this site. Dont think its gonna work out that way but wait and see

this site is for all so you will see canucks fans on here.every team has fans that think there players are better than they are.this includes canucks fans when we were re building. i have responded to alot of posts that people think we are just gonna give away fist rd picks or any of our young players.JB has a few options but none will include giving away picks and our young players as throw ins on deals.we have drafted and put money time and effort into them.every team thinks they can poach other teams players.as a canucks fan i would not like to see any of these trades.just my opinion.

Ok so Petterson and Hughes will be offer sheeted. Jimmy boy screwed himself with contracts for players that arent worth it and now are even more screwed because the cap is going to be flat.

No one is taking on any salary unless it comes with a sweetener or it's for a player that's actually worth it. Beagle, Roussel, Erickson, Myers, all contracts that Benning will likely have to pay other teams to take on. Moving Boeser isnt a great move but its one that will likely get something valuable back and relieve some cap pressure. But even a Boeser move has to be to a team that can fit his 5.8 cap hit, which isnt many, and they have to be willing to sign him to north of 7.5 in a couple years.

So be prepared to lose some trades and see some youth moved or picks moved with guys so you can keep who matters, Hughes and Petterson

Pretty rough trade for Ottawa, but I think it's cause you have no idea who Balcers is or what Ottawa's goaltending situation looks like.

Balcers is a year older than Lind but he has been better every step of the way through his career, so that's a downgrade for the Sens in every single possible way. He's demonstrated success at the NHL level and projects to be a middle 6er for them. Lind might do the same, but Balcers has the flexibility of being suitable on both wingers, was great defensively, and has chemistry with a number of the prospects and players in the system. Like, just no.

Demko is okay but complicates their goaltending situation for when Seattle drafts, and Nilsson still has some value so all in all an upgrade but sort of odd. They're better off riding Nilsson because they've got a slew of goaltending prospects working their way through, and Demko doesn't inspire much more faith than any of them.

Then they take a garbage contract back? Drop Balcers and start adding more prospects and picks and then the convo might start.
