I don't think trading Dermott is a good idea. I know they have an abundance of LHDs but Dermott is honestly one of their best defensive defensemen, which is what they've needed for years, regardless of handedness. At the very least, they could get a lot more for him.

Dermotts value is higher than what you've acquired here, Jankowski I like the idea but not at this cost plus his QO is like 1,850,000 - wait till the flames don't qualify him and he's a good add at league minimum show me deal - Dermott should be kept cause with the flat cap and our lack of Top 4 D I see no reason we couldn't sign Dermott to a 1 year QO and throw him to the wolves

You won’t get the chance to sign him for that low. Flames will have a deal in place to not qualify him then re-sign him to a lower than qualifying $ amount (prob around $1mil). Jankowski has a bad year last year but the whole team underperformed. Take last year out and he had back to back 15 goal seasons and 30ish pts and is very good on the PK. Not bad value for a $1mill player. Flames won’t let that walk for nothing

You are low on your UFA numbers, (with the exception of Spezza), and over on your RFA numbers IMO.

these are terrible trades for the Leafs.
Jankowski is terrible and not a 3C and that is a hilarious over payment for Murphy.

That is really low on Dermott even if you aren't his biggest fan.
