Because he is a top C in the league. He is a better C than Stamkos. Make Stammer play RW

Why would you put Point on a defensive line? And why break up the 1st line which is one of the best in the league? Stamkos - Point - Kucherov had the 2nd best goal differential per hour this year after only the Draisaitl line in Edmonton.

Palat for 2nd, 2nd

Pens decline. They can not add $5.3M cap hit with nothing going out. And the Pens already ha few high cap, injury prone or underachievers.

Dude there's not going to be any CBOs the league already said as much, And why would Tyler Johnson leave Tampa for Florida? Florida is looking at possibly shedding salary not taking more on, McDonagh isn't waiving for Montreal and Palat isn't going to Pittsburgh either. These are just wishful thinking on you part. Sorry not a one of them is remotely happening.

To balance out the lines and help Cirelli? Why have one super good line when you can have two?

They have two right now: a top-2 offensive line and a top-2 defensive line. The result is... wait for it... a top-2 finish in the standings.

Don't mess with success / if it ain't broke don't fix it / etc.

The only problem, even if these trades were equal value (which they aren't), is that Palat, Gourde, McDonaugh and Johnson all have NTC, which they have to lift...

Not really lol. Florida has a solid pipeline, they should have made the playoffs without the qualifying rounds. Give them 2 years and they'll be as good if not better than Tampa.

I'd like to know how the Bolts are going to convince those 4 players to waive their NTCs to pick up their families move around the country and go to lesser teams?

They can just let Sergachev, Cirelli, and Cernak get offersheeted and have a ****ty team for the next 3 years. That works too.
