I will admit I needed to consider the Ristolainen offer very closely.
The exchange of picks works out to be equal to a late 2nd round pick.
Tierney IMO would a #3C+ or #2C- .
I am not sure where Paul would fit into the Buffalo line up. Certainly not among the top 3 LW, Olofsson, Skinner and Johansson.
He does hit but does not PK so I do not see him as a 4th liner.
So, I am giving up Buffalo's top hitter, 40pt/yr, top min RHD for a #3C, LW who I do not need, and a late 2nd.
While the assets are close, I would pass.
Take out Buffalo's 2020 2nd make it our 2020 4th and take out OTT 2020 3rd. I would consider it.
