Scott Niedermayer...I feel like the Leafs and Habs are the teams that take the most heat from making bad trades (pick turned into superstars). There's more bad trade talk about Andrew Shaw for pick turned Alex DeBrincat, Kessel for picks turned Seguin/Hamilton or Leafs trading the 1st pick turned Scott Niedermayer than let's say Yashin for Chara and 1st pick turned Spezza, Matt Duchene(Erik Karlsson) for unexpected Gold Mine or LA kings trade their 1st round pick turned Raymond Bourque.

I'd say that's simply because the Leafs and Habs are massive. No disrespect to any other team you mention here, but Toronto and Montreal are huge hockey markets with extreme media scrutiny, making deals like this look all the worse, while other teams, to an extent, can shove them under the rug.
