You think Khovanov will pan out as a 1C?

What kind of ceiling does firstov have? I guess I figured he and Beckman would be flipped around.

Similar to Beckman I think, both should be 2nd liners. You could easily flip-flop them. I have him ahead in the lineup since he performed well in the NCAA which is a much tougher league than the WHL. I also realized I forgot Hentges...

I think he ends up somewhere between a fringe NHLer and a 3rd liner. He had a really good season, but it was in the Q as a 19/20 yo. He needs to play against better competition.

This was more a 2-3 year projection which is why I still have Stalock. Where do you fit McBain and Dewar in?

Interesting. I think both have higher floors but I don't see any way they develop into top 6 forwards, I'd love to be wrong though

I think both of Dewar (bottom-6) and McBain (middle-6) will be NHL centers. I can't say that Khovanov will even be a NHL player, let alone a NHL center.



The skating ding is his first three steps; which is fixable. He has good overall speed, just was lacking the burst. He has everything but the shot to be a 1C, it's a matter if he can put it all together or not (like most any prospect). I do think he has the highest floor of any center prospect for the Wild.

He's weaker on the puck than his size dictates, but has improved since his Freshman year. I am glad he went the college route and not the CHL.
