Grzelcyk contract really low.

Krug would definitely take 8M no need to push it close to 9M.

Moore's not going anywhere unless you sweeten it. (Send a 2nd to the other team)

I think it’s significantly too much for krug, and grzelcyk gets significantly more.

4 years from debrusk is not even a concept that either side would ever discuss. 0% chance.

HUGE OVERPAY FOR KRUG. He said he will stay in boston for less. Try 6.75 mil

Other than that, good contracts. and Good Moore trade.

Fix Krugs contract, swwap Wagner and Studnicka. And its Good!

He isn't valuable either. There is no market for 6/7th defenseman making 2.75M for the next 3 YEARS, but keep telling yourself there is...

Krug would just sign a $9M elsewhere if offered wouldn't he?

Which is why a team will just take him for a 7th. That is the minimum possible trade lol

I'd love to know what team is just dying to have a 7th defenseman making 2.75M for 3 years.

Yes. Bruins fans seem to think that there is no way Krug won't sign a discount contract. They fail to realize that if that was the case, he'd be signed already... Just like how they were so %100 accurate that Halak would walk. Most Bruins fans on here are the most Stubborn, incompetent, and unreasonable people on here.

He’s right.
John Moore isn’t a 7th dman. He is a top 6 dman (maybe even top 4 like he was in NJ) that is stuck behind a DEEP dcore.

@Kakko_to_New_York you did a decent job on this post, but if you read @bsilk18's comments you can tell he's one of the most bias people on this site so I'd take his feedback and flush it down the toilet

I'm sorry, borderline 6th defenseman.
Saying he's top 4 is equivalent to telling all of us how incompetent you are.

I thought I had fair contracts and I agree Moore's either a cap dump or stuck. I don't see why a team wants that term for a 7th dman and Krug might get upwards of $9M from a team like Detroit so why take that significant of a discount when it's obvious bruins have the cap to bring him back at his ask.

"When you have time, you use it" (Lou Lamoriello).
* DS has several weeks at his disposal prior to the UFA window opening up for all the other teams to talk to him.
* DET may be his home but not sure all the money in the world can entice him to come home and live in the "basement"

Now, here's some realistic feedback:

There is a 50% chance Krug walks. He's from Detroit, his wife is from Detroit, it's a real possibility. If he was going to take a team friendly discount, wouldn't you think he'd be signed already? Halak is signed, why isn't he? Team friendly contracts are about the easiest and fastest to sign.

Moore is a borderline 6th defenseman making 2.75M for 3 years. The most likely outcomes for him are: Staying in Boston, getting CBO'd, or traded with a sweetener. In theory, yes he could be traded for a 7th, but there has to be a team willing to pay for a borderline 6th defenseman making 2.75M for 3 years, which there is not. The Kings for example would rather just resign Hutton if they feel they need a veteran on the left side. Kings have Bjornfot, Anderson, MacDermid, Clague, and possibly Hutton on the left side. Along with the Kings, I can promise you no team will pay for Moore.

If I was a GM, I'd rather save my 7th rounder and hope it's a one-in-a-million Olofsson(whatever his name is on the Sabres) then take on Moore(he is baggage)

DeBrust will get at least 3.75M and I could see Grzelcyk getting 3.5M.

Other than that, the post looks good!

Krug is one of the best offensive defensemen in the game. You can bet he'll get 9M on the open market easily.

I agree with the contracts, I did state in my other comment I just posted that I think DeBrusk will get at least 3.75M(I could be wrong) considering his producing while playing on that 2nd line he's possible he only gets 2.5M, but I also can't think of any top 6ers who've been playing in the top 6 for over 2 seasons making less than 3.75M other than ELCs

Normally I’m of the opinion that players don’t give discounts. It almost never happens. Krug has just gone so far out of his way to tell anyone that will listen that he would take less than what he would get on the open market to stay in boston? Don’t believe him? That’s fine. I wouldn’t blame anyone for thinking he’s just playing the PR game. I would say that he’s not getting 8 million in boston, and if you can say one thing for Sweeney, its that he is really good at getting his own players to re-sign below market value.

I don’t think anyone is going to offer torey krug 9 million dollars annually, especially with all the stuff going on now.
