I don't see a fit. A trade involving Kerfoot would need to have a cheaper and lesser 3C coming back unless the Leafs already have something figured out to fill that hole. Who are the Oiler's currently running at 3C?

Probably not. Out bottom 2 RHD are fine we just need a top pairing guy. What about PJ and a 4th?

I think we can get something to work to bring in Severson and Zacha and Zacha can play 3C. If not then we could get a cheap guy like Jarnkrok, Donato, etc. We can find someone somewhere else.

The issue is Toronto would want Larson or bear if they were moving kerfoot as we have two bottom pair RD and need a partner for rielly. But knowing the oilers neither of those 2 is available at that price

2nd rounder at least. But Toronto needs a 3C as well, so.. You can also always use McDavid, Draisaitl and RNH at their regular spots and just acquire good wingers for each one.

Kerfoot is a good player but at 3.5M is too much for a 3C. Just like the Leafs the Oilers need to find a cheaper option for that spot in the lineup.

Kerfoot is priced fine at 3.5 for a 3C - the issue for the Oilers is Russel at 4 and Neal in the bottom 6 at 5.75

Please please sign a better goalie than Smith. I love the guy to death but he's really not great at stopping pucks anymore and at 38 isn't going to get any better.

TBH I think the Oilers can get Smith back at 1 maybe 1.5 for the season, there really isn't too many options at that affordable price that the Oilers could target in FA - an RFA like Murray or Georgiev would cost assets the Oilers can't really afford to spend

I don't want Murray either, and I'm not that impressed by Georgiev. That said, this mock has Smith at $2M AND has $7.4M in cap space besides! Don't tell me he can't afford a better goalie!
