Description

I know it seems strange to trade Tony back to ARZ but ARZ desperately needs offensive help and there aren't many defenseman as offensively gifted as Deangelo. NY gets a reliable LHD that can play in the Top 4. With the offer sheet of Cirelli I dont see a need for Strome. Dallas gets a 60 point player to help out with the offense and a gritty bottom 6 guy. In return rangers get there first rounder plus a bottom 6 guy in need of a contract. Detroit picks up a good LHD prospect in Tarmo Ruenanen for taking on 1 more year of Brendan Smith.

ARZ rejects... They have a similar affect on the game, they would both be ARZ's best d man, but unless you sign DeAngelo to a deal similar to the Chychrun one, I don't see them going for it, they're in a cap crunch as well, and Chychrun has one of the best contracts in the league, plus we know Chychrun fits very well in ARZ's system, I'm not sure DeAngelo would, part of the reason they lack scoring is they force everyone to a defense first mentality

Detroit traded Smith because they didn't want to deal with him any more. He won't be coming back to Detroit.
