In my opinion, there are only 2 reasons you trade one of our 2 top wingers (Nylander or Marner) and that is (a) to save big bucks and (b) Nick Robertson has arrived. In either situation, or perhaps both, I think the Leafs would want to parlay one of these winger for a defender and a 1st overall pick to get into the first round of the 2020 draft while ideally saving significant cap space.
