I think you underpaid for Ekblad + Knight. You could potentially ship Johnsson in that deal to make it more palatable. I also think you overpaid for Bjorkstrand and could remove that deal entirely.
I'm not entirely sure if Pittsburgh would trade Jarry, as he has been the better of the 2 Pitts goalies this year.
I'd be tempted to play Sandin with Ekblad and Chychrun with Lilly, just so that the experience is a little more spread out.
I would also run a Mikheyev-JT-Nylander 2nd line and have a Engvall-Kerfoot-Spezza 3rd line. I'd let Robertson hang out in the OHL/AHL for 1 more year

All valid points. I figure Rielly has produced more then Ekblad although Ekblad has improved this year. Florida want to save money. They just traded trochek for a pending ufa a bottom six guy and 2B prospects. They might move exblad if it saves them money and they don’t get worse. Knight is for Scott doesn’t impact next year anyway.

Bjorkstrand is a legit sniper. He’s going to score more goals then each of Kappy/Johnsson/Kerfoot by a mile. Worth the investment for a guy I like that’s making 2.5m next year. Leafs are trading salary by adding multiple players in that trade.

Jarry and Anderson trades are just an idea to get younger in Net. This type of deal should be a priority in my opinion.

At this point, even if Florida is trying to save some money, I believe that Ekblad is someone that they are going to want to keep around. If they are willing to move him, Leafs would have to add more like jmac suggested. I'd also like to keep Ian Scott, I believe either him or Woll will be the goalie of the future and it's nice to have two prospects with a good shot at being our future starter.
I get where you are coming from in that trade for Bjorkstrand, but we have enough guys who can put the puck in the net. Might be better off packaging those players for a defenseman (If Ekblad is indeed off the table).
Not sure San Jose is in a spot to giving up a 1st round pick for a goaltender, their prospect pool (appears) to be slim and will need those picks to restock.

I don't agree with the goaltender trades. I can't see them trading Freddie this offseason while his value is lowest (potentially) unless they have a young long-term solution behind them. I don't think Pitt trades you Jarry, they'd probably part with Murray easier. Him and Freddie are pretty even, so I'd rather just keep Andersen.

I don't like the Borgstrand trade. Toronto gives up too much depth in that trade and I don't think he is worth trading both of those guys plus a pick. Huge overpay.

Florida has no reason to take that deal. Their RHD situation would make it extremely hard to move Ekblad and Knight is a far better prospect then Scott (sorry to say). They are essentially trading last years first round pick and Ekblad for Rielly and a goalie who may never make the NHL. Even if you assume Rielly= Ekblad (which, because of handedness, may not be the case) the Knight for Scott swap is a huge loss for FLA.

Arizona isn't doing that trade. Chychrun is better then that package and he's also cheaper, which they need as they are right up against the cap. Good thought, but not likely to happen.

Bjorkstrand trade gets turned down easily by the Jackets. We're fine on depth (the easy way one can tell is that we've been murdered by injuries and yet remain on the bubble); Bjorkstrand is the closest thing we have to a sniper right now. Not giving him up in a quantity deal. Maybe if we were getting that legit #2C it'd be given some thought, but the Leafs (in a practical sense*) don't have one to spare.

Bjorkstrand is untouchable. You don’t trade your teams leading goal scorer after a career year when he missed half the games due to injuries...
