change the 2021 MTL 1st to another 2nd and Id say that could be pretty close value wise. I dont think teams are gonna be trading away 1st rounders a year away after what happened to Ottawa

You’re getting Zach Werenski and PLD.... they aren’t going to make MTL a worse team... that pick will likely be 20ish area in 2021. The value is fair.

Alittle light on savy Andy return. Especially if Andy is signed passed this next year. I don’t mind the return on the pld Werenski trade but I liked the old one better and we should not trade Korpi unless we get an offer we can’t refuse or Elvis proves he can be a true 1#. He had a great stretch but wasn’t good before and Hasn’t been good recently. Overall not bad at all just my thoughts.

To make others happy swap out poehling and the 2021 first for Suzuki and a 2nd.

Werenski+PLD for those pieces the only decent piece are Domi and Montreal's 2020 1st round pick. Poehling hasn't proven a thing and Mete is meh. Not even close for both players.

The only reason I traded Korpisalo was because I wasn’t sure on the cap and demands he and Elvis would have. I think Elvis was great because he had a good defenceive System in front of him and with the D that’s here is still good, not as good but still good.

As for the MTL trade I doubt they would move Suzuki and Domi... I think we’d have to take Domi and a 2021 1st out to add Suzuki.

Maybe it is a little light for Savard and Anderson, but it really is just a base for the trade.

Another 1st isn’t good? How about a 2nd? Poehling is a prospect for a reason and could be a good player and Mete under torts could do some good things. There’s also a reason he’s on the 3rd D pair and is just a replacement for Werenski.

If you think there should be more what would you add that MTL would move? Suzuki and Caufield are supposedly off the table.

Werenski is perhaps the Blue Jackets 2nd best Dman after Seth Jones. And from what i'm getting from the Columbus fans is that PLD is pretty much untouchable. If Montreal wants Columbus two best assets then i've news for you Suzuki and Caufield can't be off the table. I'm not sure what i would add don't know much about Montreal just seems like an under-whelming deal for those guys is all.

Is a trade around Domi + Caufield for PLD possible?

It's so rare I see a large trade on CapFriendly I seriously have to consider, well done. It seems pretty fair. MTL is hoping its window of opportunity to open next season till Price's retirement, I think MTL has to accept this trade.

It all depends where the draft picks fall at the end of the season.
Agreed that Suzuki is off the table, since around January he's been MTL's best player and improving.
Caufield could be on the table. The problem is he's probably one of the biggest wildcards when it comes to rookies. There's a reason he fell to 15 in the draft. The hope is he'll be an elite goal scorer, his shooting ability is the one thing he has going for him. If it doesn't translate to the NHL his value will collapse. Or, he could be the next Debrincat and score 40 goals some day...

Just my thoughts good rebuttal on Korpi trade.
And for mtl there getting 2 corner stone pieces we gotta get at least one comparable piece back if we’re not getting caufield.
I think your higher on Holl than I am. Last year he was Toronto’s seventh guy which is not a great look. I know Babcock didn’t like his game but still. I like the Savard for Kerfoot trade by itself.
I really don’t want to trade Andy for anything less than complete overkill. I think he’s worth the risk of bounce back and I think management agrees with me. (My theory) they acquired shore to help mend the broken relationship between the 2 parties.
