Realistically, Martinez is at 8 points in 38 games and has just above even possession numbers. There isnt anything standout-ish about him, and the team would need to have space for his 4 M cap hit next season, which most contending teams would probably not like to pay 4 M for a guy who is on pace to score 16 points in a full 82 games. Any contending team would be foolish to give a 1st plus for him

I like most of what you have here, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Ben Hutton. I hope that the Kings re-sign him.

If Martinez gets a 1st and then some, then Petry who has an extra year of term should net a 1st a 2nd and a top tier prospect.

He absolutely should, which is why the Habs should explore moving him, but realistically won't

Toffoli is the only guy coming to Boston from LA, if there's trade between those two. Like Lewis but we don't need him in Boston.

Would like to see Carter on there as well. And maybe Ryan. Like I said on another post Carter has more goals then Toffoli. He’s had an Ok year. He’s not the Carter of their glory years but for contending teams looking for scoring depth he would be a huge add. Kings would prob have to retain but I think they don’t care about that. They aren’t gonna be near the cap for awhile. Also if we could get a 5th for Ryan as well. Maybe a 7th for Ladue. I’ve read Frk is heading back to Europe next year so if that’s the case try get something for him. I like that some of these are 21draft year picks. If you have too many in one year sometimes you end up losing a future player because of numbers. Using some of the later picks on Russian or college players helps as well. Gives you more time to decide and more flexibility.
