It really doesn't help your case that Kapanen was suspended for missing meetings and seems to have some issues with the team.

I just want to do deal that fits best both teams and CBJ wants Kapanen so I kinda went from there. I think its fair deal tbh.

Columbus declines. Saved is more important to Columbus and is 100% different then what Barrie would bring to the team. Barrie is an offensive defenseman and Savard is more of a defensive defenseman. Savard is our best defender in our own zone and is a shot blocking Machine, plus Barrie is a rental and likely won’t resign in Columbus. Next we have no use for Kapanen, we don’t need wings, if it was Kerfoot then maybe we’d consider the down grade on defence as Kerfoot could be our second line center. As a team in the playoff picture we aren’t going to sell, maybe buying but not selling right now.

This trade is not selling tho! Not at all. Selling would be for picks and prospects purely. I agree with most of it, but why is your team looking for wingers when you say you dont need them?

If they are I’m not sure why... we don’t need them. We need a consistent second line center... our wings are pretty set and now that Wennberg is on IR(that happened yesterday) we really will need a second line center.

Portzline and Lebrun had some names out there like Tatar or Kapanen. Which is weird because you have platoon of wingers.. unless they feel like trading Josh Anderson for upgrade on that position.. which certainly is Kapanen.. dunno.

With Atkinson, Bremstrom, Bjorkstrand, Nyquist, Folingo, and Milano is a pretty solid top 9 for wings... we also have Texier, and Anderson on IR... if Anderson can go back to his for from a year ago then Columbus would be just fine on the wing and would have no need for Tatar or Kapanen.
