No way those happen. I can see something like Poulin, 2020 1st and an expiring contract for Domi. Maybe add another prospect potentially Pierre Olivier Joseph to the deal

I think the only way Domi is getting trade is for a better player or a top pair LHD. It would be stupid to trade him for picks or prospects

Nurse has similar value to Morrissey - if the WPG trade is a joke, there's no way Domi is getting Nurse+.

Morrissey is way better than Nurse. He's defensively outstanding and has untapped offensive potential as well. I really am not a huge fan of Nurse, I think he scores some points, but isn't the best defensively and his puck handling isn't good enough.

Fair enough, I guess they looked bad or risky at the moment but turned out good in the long run. Galchenyuk for Domi (that worked out well, but at the time was viewed poorly) Subban for Weber ( Subban's play this season has kinda sealed that win)

This is strictly your opinion, I think they're comparable players. Certainly they have different strengths and weaknesses, but their values are in the same range.

I am not sure Morrissey has any weaknesses. He's such a solid player, one of the better defensive defenceman and he's also capable of putting up some points. I'd have him on team Canada at the next Olympics. Just look how bad Trouba has been without Morrissey as his partner.

Morrissey's play has experienced a similar drop without Trouba.

That is also somewhat a product of his team becoming really not that good. And of course Trouba is far better than his partners this season. I just haven't seen anything from Nurse that makes me think he's anything other than a 2nd pair player. Morrissey with a good partner is elite.

I feel certain that there is concern among portions of the Jets fan base about Josh Morrissey’s contract extension. Separated from his longtime partner Jacob Trouba, Morrissey has not produced the high-end defensive results we’re used to seeing. He is enjoying a surge in offence — 25 points in 49 games leave Morrissey just six points away from tying last season’s career high — but Morrissey simply hasn’t been the top defender we’ve become accustomed to seeing.

Even with his offensive surge this year, Morrissey is still below Nurse in this fantasy ranking:

Nurse is not a top pair defender. Morrissey has been every bit that for several seasons and has been on a terrible team defensively this year. You like to cherry pick stats to support your opinion and I just don't care to argue with you. In your opinion (And you'll find all sorts of stats to support it while ignoring everything else) all Oiler players are better then everyone else. And when I get sick of having this conversation, you will do the classic "All Leafs fans whatever whatever". Its all just boring.

Typical - strong opinions with no backup. You can compare Nurse and Morrissey for yourself here:

    And here:
