Description

So I see all the Dumba or Larsson talk and think we might have better options with Rangers to fill the two obvious holes in leafs roster.
D’Angelo was picked 3 picks before Kapanen in 2014. They are the same age and seem to have similar positions within there organizations. Both clubs have other guys who can fill the spot they have.
Georgiev is backup without a spot in ny. They will lose him for nothing on waivers or during expansion draft. He is worth about a second round pick based on other goalie trades at similar points in their career.

b
Bracco is sweetener in case you think kapanen and the pick are not equal value for the player I suggest.

Deangelo worth a lot more then Kap, Georgiev worth a lot more then Bracco and a 2nd rounder won't make up the difference. Rangers say no.

The suggestion was D’Angelo for Kapanen and Bracco.

Georgiev for the second.

I think your over estimating what you will get for Georgiev. His history is very similar to Talbot who the rangers traded for a second.

I would rather hear what you think would make it work then just a blanket not enough.

Rangers cupboard of forwards looking really bare. Not much doubt kapanen is in top 6 looking at that group.

Close to value, but not enough to make the Rangers do it. They don't need to trade either, and this trade is not enough to entice them. And it's regarding DeAngelo

I don't think DeAngelo makes the most sense for the Leafs either. He's very similar to Tyson Barrie who is not exactly a perfect piece for this blueline the way it's constructed. He will also likely want a big raise next year, which will mean the Leafs likely can't resign Muzzin.

There is no player or pick who is the equal of Georgiev. Georgiev trades will outlast us all. As the ozone depletes and the aliens blow up our planet, humanity's last words will be, "that's not enough for Georgiev."

idk my main concern is that kapanen isn't worth as much as Deangelo, who has more points as a defenceman than kapanen does as a forward. also makes less than 1/3 of what kappy makes. I don't necessarily know how much is needed to bridge that gap
