Literally every fan base has homers and every single fan base denies it and points at other fan bases for being homers (more often than not, the leafs.) The reality is there are a lot of people on here who refuse to see their own bias and get mad when others don't agree with them. It's best to let it go.

A little while ago I posted a Buffalo construction in which I made 5 trades, to which a Sabres homer responded with the single-word comment "garbage." Within a week, he published a Buffalo post which had 3 trades in common with mine, in all three of which the return was less than mine. Now since these were trades of a single player for a particular draft pick, there is no subjective bias operating here.

I am guilty of getting too chippy at times so I can't really sit on any high horse, however, it would be nice to have a meaningful conversation on here. Too often, I have to deal with people saying, "it's going to start with all your best players" to literally any trade. As a Leaf fan it's hard, because half the people on here just hate the Leafs and seem to hate anyone who likes them. It gets so annoying hearing people say stuff like Rienhart is better than Nylander. Or Seth Jones is worth Matthews while Rielly is worth a depth winger and a 2nd. Having a bias for your own players is fine, we all have it but when people have an even stronger via against your team than they have for their own it makes conversation just stupid.

Lol, Out of pure boredom I threw out a Domi Trade, reality is Would I like Domi on the Leafs? Yes, Am I willing to pay top Dolla? No. He's not a need he's a luxury, truth is Leafs won't be able to retain his services. Every fan of whatever team is a "Homer" for their players, rival fans seriously under rate rival team players and over rate their own. From an unbiased POV Domi would fetch a healthy return if your looking for prospects and picks but if your eyeing roster players from other teams that roster player also has value. EG: the Domi for Nylander 1 for 1 realistically Habs would be adding strictly because they are equal players point wise but Nylander has a long-term contract and Domi does not
