I think Holl will likely get a larger deal than that. Obviously this is his first full season, but he's been far better than anyone expected and deserves a bit of a raise.

Defenceman tend to get paid if they do well in one of two category's or both and they are ice time and pts. Holl is playing alot. If im looking for a comparable i guess we could look at the greg Pateryn deal. So ya 1.5 to 2.5 on a term deal is a good guess. Remember hes a UFA not RFA like Dermott so his value is looked at differently. Actually i cansee Dermott getting a 1 year 800 000 and Holl getting term. Dermott doesnt get points and doesnt play alot. YET. Still alot of hockey left tho

No he doesn't, he's 27 and playing his first season, yes has looked good but there's a higher chance of regression back to 7/6 D than continuing to be 3/4 for 2 or 3 seasons. Give him 2 years at 100000 over league minimum one way contract
