Well if you were trying to make them worse....you did it. Could have just traded Faulk for Toffoli. Would have made more sense.

Care to elaborate? Gives them insane depth and offense. Faulk is a defensive liability and not that great offensively with one year left might as well get some what of a return for him. Toffoli is a total cane and could do very very good with this team. It's like they have 9 top 6 forwards a with really good defense. What don't you like about it?

If they sign Williams they don’t need Toffoli. They trade for Toffoli if Williams retires which frees up the space to take all of Toffoli.

While I do like the idea of Toffoli coming to the Canes, the return is just too much. I would honestly not go much farther than a 2nd round pick.
