Basically if you were drafted in 2014 or earlier you should have started to show something last year, and have a better season this year.
* if you were drafted in 2015, this is the year you need to show something this season and be poised to break out next.

Zacha is so far from a bust its unbelievable. I don't understand how so many ignorant fans just want to see him traded.

The guy has not played with stellar linemates, he was drafted and played on a garbage team to begin with, some of the worst in NJD history.

He is a regular NHLer unlike many on this list

AND if he was an absolute stud since day 1 NJ doesn't have hughes or hischier, so everyone needs to relax, hes a pretty affordable, reliable, and talented 3C (AT A MINIMUM) who is just getting started

Hes like the only one from the top 10 from 2015 that isn't playing top 6 or top 4

Look at his linemates, he hasn't received a great opportunity yet

this year, it's likely hell play with some higher iq guys, whether bratt or boqvist, simmonds, etc. These are guys who know how to play hockey. I love wood, but wood isn't putting his linemates in a great position to succeed

also that doesnt mean hes a bust, if other players were drafted later and were better, it wasn't the best pick but he isnt a bust and we now have hischier hughes, id much rather zacha hischier hughes than barzal or rantanen individually
