Gusev replacement

That top 9 is sick and I would put it against any team in the league. And everybody in that top 9 is signed for 2 years, and 8 out of 9 for the next 3.

Next offseason Holden is off the books and hopefully we get enough cap increase to bring in an addition to the blue line. In a perfect world the prospects on D exceed expectations and make additions on D unnecessary, but we dont live in a perfect world. Perhaps D prospects can land us an upgrade to the blue line at the deadline, as that is the only weakness.

Zucker isn’t money leaving, he’s not really a cap dump unlike you’re players, Zucker had issues with Fenton and not being wanted. Since Fenton is gone Zucker either stays or leaves at TDL for bigger catch, if neither happen and he is traded for this than Fenton never left cause this is basically the Nino for fast trade all over again

We will find out soon if Zucker was being shopped because of Fenton or because of other reasons. And maybe firing Fenton is enough to make Zucker feel wanted again, or maybe it's not. Time will tell.

Eakin, Reaves a 1st and a prospect for Zucker and a conditional 3rd if Eakin re-signs.

Eakin is a quality 3rd liner (don't know if the Wild need that, probably not) and Reaves would be an upgrade over Foligno.

If Fenton had not been fired, I would have thought this was possible. If VGK had been smart and kept Gusev around for another week, I think they could have made this trade including him with much lower picks to give up.
