Sujet: Tolvanen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>Assuming these are accurate I think the only option here would be to find a similar player but in a position of need and swap 1v1. Assuming they want Tolvanen but on defense and vice versa from the toher team, I could see maybe Jake Bean from Carolina being an option. I think expecting a bunch of picks plus a relatively unknown prospect is kind of a last resort for Nashville.</div></div>

I don’t see Bean being swapped for Eli, both good but I think Bean is better. I used gusev trade cause it’s a good comparable I think. Gusev wasn’t gonna play for them (tolvanen is on that route doesn’t mean he’s stuck to it), Nashville and Vegas are both cup competitors; I know Vegas was more in a situation of we need cap to sign you and instead of trading guys for cap relief we’ll trade Gusev. I could see EDM and NSH meeting up with a JP and Tolvanen trade, both teams swapping guys, Tolvanen would go top 6 where he couldn’t in Nashville and JP would be bottom 6 with third line likely hood although I’m on of the believers that JP hasn’t shown anything to warrant being more valuable than a third. So than picks have to be involved sent to NSH. So idk if that’s a good trade cause than it just comes around to similar to this sharks trade; bundle picks. I think Tolvanen is close to beans value in a 1 for 1 but I’m also a big fan of bean so.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>handslikejesus</b></div><div>Not bad but if NASH is shopping Tolvanen they could probably get better assets in return from another team. They will want at least a 1st back + maybe prospect</div></div>
I just don’t see a 1st being sent unless Tolvanen shows NHL consistency. Not saying they can’t get better value hell I’d switch True out for a better sharks prospect too if it could get down with like Chekhovich. But I think the Gusev trade is a really good starting point to base Tolvanen off of. But yeah they can definitely ask for better return but not too many teams may offer it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>That’s one of the worst ones yet, if there is a competition, you are in the lead</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>From a canes perspective, this is great, from a WPG standpoint.... not so much</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MisstheWhalers</b></div><div>I've seen worse on here</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>What do you mean, that the jets won’t sell laine for 5/6 defenseman and 3rd and 4th liners, and minimal potential</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_K</b></div><div>IMO (and probably quite a few others) Necas is one of the best prospects in the world. Definitely projects as a top six center with a ton of offensive skill.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>Legacy trade for Chevy, if laine headed the other way, going to need more than just projects. Laine could go off on aho wing and Chevy could be looking for work</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_K</b></div><div>Keep in mind it would be very rare for a team to trade their two best prospects. If Chevy decides he has to move Laine, WPG definitely isn't winning that trade. It would be a "cut your losses and get some nice pieces" type of deal, one that's better than having Laine sit out all year with nothing to show for it. Sure, they could ask for a proven NHLer, but then they're probably not getting their 2 top prospects. Maybe something like Haula + Bean + Kuokanen + 1st. There's no doubt that Laine is worth more than that, but I just can't see WPG getting the full value if they end up trading him. (I doubt they trade him, most of these contract issues become completely overblown by the click-bait media).</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>Tough trade to pull off, we will see, I just see a similar trade to evander Kane to Buffalo, where 1st, a recent top of second round pick and Tyler Myers, type deal, there was a few more pieces, I don’t recall. But you maybe right with prospects, that you all ready project high might lower the established nhlers in the return. I just hope Chevy has the resolve and patience to leave laine in Switzerland if needed</div></div>

This is a not a “worst trade” these are two of the some best prospects in the league, atleast on carolina as one of you said. Necas is legit a top talent in the league and Bean is the canes future OFD they’re hoping for. Yes they’re “projects” but not like if San Jose offered you our best prospect; those are projects. Bean and Necas are up their on future talent league wide. This trade doesn’t help Winnipeg immediately and you should be asking for 1 of these 2 and a current nhl impact (of quality) but bean isnt expected to be a 6th man and Necas isn’t expected to be a 4th line. Both should be top 4 man and top 6 pieces with confidence, so it’s not a terrible offer
