My guess there is going to be a few ugly capdump contracts on this list and some young potential players that haven’t quite established themselves yet. Less 1 year deals that you have chosen and more with a few years left in 2 years

If babcock is still around next offseason he will do everything in his power to stop that from happening… I would rather see the leafs protect most of their contract players and trade a prospect especially if they are trying to win now. However, based on how bracco does this year (Yes, I think he gets some NHL time) it could make one of the young wingers expendable.

Expansion draft would be in 2021. Babcock would not be there.

What was the term of Keefes deal? it is pretty obvious Dubas would love to replace babcock with him when the time comes (Personally I like babcock but at this point there is no congruence between the type of team dubas wants to build and the type of team that fits mikes system)

Keefe got 2yr contract extension this summer. I think he is the highest paid AHL coach as well. I think we will see a coaching change next year IF Babs doesnt make needed changes.

Yup. And people should stop thinking that Dubas is some teenager who is always quiet. I think he can get angry and do savage moves to make team good. And he would if he feels that Babs is not right and would not hesitate to give his guy a chance.

I’m sure things will change between now and then, but I expect the Blues to protect Sundqvist. I think it’s likely they lose either Barbashev or Edmundson.

First off Seattle doesn't get the franchise until the 2021/2022 season and Jonathan Bernier is a free agent then. So Detroit wont be giving him up probably either Nielsen or Abdelkader to Seattle would be my guess.

Hyman has a M-NTC so he needs to be protected unless he gives his consent. That being said I think the Leafs make a trade to protect our guys or move someone out first to get value back.

Don't worry it's only a matter of time. Bab's refuses to adapt and change with the times. I personally think me made it to game 7 in spite of his coaching as we have alot of talent and speed.
