Clearly they are two different kinds of players Kadri is a 200 foot player who can shut down opposing teams best players, while Duchenne is a highly skilled offensive player who is not great at defence. Are you saying that NHL teams don't value defence? Either way they are both 2nd line center's in the NHL

You know who Kadri is damn comparable to? Duchene! And he is about to get 9-9.5 million. Meanwhile Leafs fans are trying to dump Kadri as they feel 4.7 is too much for him

I will let you in on a little known fact about NHL teams. They will base contract offers and trades based on what they think player value is CURRENTLY at, not 3 years ago. Currently, Duchene is likely going to be offered a contract in the 8-10 million dollar range because of his most recent performance, which happens to be the stats I displayed. If you want to debate who should get in the hall of fame first, by all means include every year for both players. If you want to figure out who is the better player today, review last year's performance, as this has by far the greatest weight on any decision making done by NHL execs. Not a slight against Kadri, just trying to be realistic here.

The point is any team with a analytics department ( which is all of them) can clearly see that they can get similar production from Kadri as they can from Duchenne for HALF THE PRICE if that's your definition of a bad management group i would love for you to be a gm btw what team do you root for?
