To much moves to be called realistic. Stralman is 32 and has played on one of the best defensive cores in the NHL - he won't sign for just one season.. I can see him getting 3-4 years.

What list? He or his agent have never spoken publicly about a destination. Are we just assuming because he is from Michigan that he wants to play there. All he ever said was that he grew up a Red Wings fan. Detroit is a horrible team with an aging average goaltender and prospects ( while they have huge promise ) they are still years away from making this team a playoff team. How many players go home to play? They don't, they go where they can win and maximize their return. The team can trade him to any team they want, it may no be a home-run trade, but if they get offered a piece they like. He has no say in it. He controls nothing about where he is traded. All he controls is where he wants to play after next season and that is only if the team he wants to play for wants him. Karlsson didn't had an expiring contract and was traded for quite a haul. The teams that have made serious offers for him already are: Buffalo, Detroit, Florida, New Jersey, Rangers, Maple Leafs. This has all been reported on TSN.

Could you have at least gotten the roster size down to an actual number, so the money and outlook were a bit more realistic? Also, how can you be sure Callahan is on IR? This, and all of the above questions and concerns...
