Lol that mtl trade is a total non-sense. Maata and Bjugstad doesn't worth Drouin and Lehky.

Drouin was playing the fourth line at the end of the season and Lehky has a long way to go before he is a solid top six forward. Playing with Geno will hopefully accelerate his growth

NSH doesn't want PK and PIT doesn't want Kessel. PIT needs better D and NSH will benefit from another scoring winger

He never played fourth line, he was on the third. And still manage to put 53 pts on a down year, and he is just 24. And Lehkonen still has more upside than what he shown at this point. So for Bjugstad and Maata, you won't have either of those players.

I wouldn’t do Lehkonen for Maata Bjugstad.
And why on earth MTL do that ?

Subban has much more value than Kessel so IF Nashville considers this deal they sure in hell aren't retaining any salary. You want Nashville to effectively to pay $9M a year for a winger who is a defensive liability and is effectively 2 years older than Subban. No salary retention & toss in Fabbro and you might have a deal

Okay buddy settle down here. Subban And kessel have similar value. Remove the retention and it’s a fair trade

Lehkonen is overrated in Montreal from an offensive stand point. But he is a very solid 3rd line player in a more defensive role. That being said, Drouin is massively underrated league wide ever since he was propped up as the savior of Montreal. Still young and is putting up 50+ point seasons with long point droughts. Just needs to figure out consistency.

Okay pal, settle down. Top 2 RHD who just turned 30 has considerably more value than defensive liability RWer about to turn 32. Even without retention Nashville doesn't make that deal one for one

Subban isn’t very good defensively either and that’s his role haha. Subban had an off year, kessel didn’t. Kessel and Subban have very similar value. You’re just a salty leafs fan cause kessel was the best leaf you’ve seen in decades haha (yes including Matthews, marner, and Tavares)

Subban's possession and defensive point share stats disagree with your eyeball analysis. Also don't be silly, Leafs fans love Phil, after all he gave us Kapanen and Andersson and helped us obtain Jake Muzzin

look at how much better Marners supporting cast is. the fact that kessel was that productive on such a terrible leafs team is a testament to his talent. Kessel can produce with bozak, Bonino, or Malkin as his centre.
