I've included a few parameters:

1. Player must have multiple years remaining on their current contracts; No UFA's or RFA's
2. Value is quantified by tangible contributions (i.e. being a great leader or locker room guy doesn't help here)
3. No ELC's ( Obviously, guys like Pettersson and Nico are tremendous value before they become RFA's)
4. No players with AAV's over $5M

Here's a few of my favorites in no particular order:

1. Bryan Rust, PIT $3.5M
2. Ondrej Kase, ANA $2.6M
3. Rickard Rakell, ANA $3.78M
4. Elias Lindholm, CGY $4.85M
5. Blake Coleman, NJD $1.8M
6. Jonathan Marchessault, VGK $5M
7. Morgan Rielly, TOR $5M
8. Josh Morrissey, WPG $3.15M
9. Roman Josi, NSH $4M
10. Mattias Ekholm, NSH $3.75M
11. Carter Hutton, BUF $2.75M
12. Sean Couturier, PHI $4.33M

The guy with over 70 points before the All Star break is making $4.76M this year and is locked up under $10M for just about the rest of his career

I focused on guys w/ AAV's at $5M and under. But, the entire top line of BOS could be right near the top as well.

Blake Coleman would be a steal at twice the price. He's been NJD's best player w/ Hall injured. Which isn't saying a whole lot, but he's been really good. Dumoulin is one of the most underrated players for sure. He's a rock on the back end for PIT.

I see you have Lindholm on there. What i want to know is why nobody is talking about CGY's top line as one of the best in the league. All the talk is about Boston and Colorado, but why not Calgary? Their top line is about the same level as Boston's and Colorado's.

They're lights out. They've definitely been the #1 line in the NHL since probably mid November. Remember when everyone said James Neal would play on the top line? Or that Brad Treliving was crazy for trading Dougie Hamilton for Lindholm? Yeah, they're not talking much these days.

Rikard Rakell and Josi no question. Those guys should be 6 mill players but they got em for less than 5.

Dubnyk has been pretty solid, but MIN is a very good defensive team. His numbers are pretty mediocre this season and are definitely trending in the wrong direction. His save % is the lowest since his days in EDM (2013-14). Also, his playoff numbers have always been below average w/ the exception of 2017, albeit in a 5 game series loss. I'd compare Dubnyk to Ben Bishop. They're both 32 years old and carry similar AAV's (Bishop's is less than $600k more). Bishop has had some injury concerns, but his numbers this season are much, much better than Dubnyk's.

If Josi went UFA he'd probably get at least $8M on a 7 year max deal. Several Preds have taken hometown discounts in order to win. Even Ryan Ellis would've been around $7.5M had he gone UFA last summer. I'm very curious to see where Matt Duchene and Mark Stone end up and for how much. I already know that NJD will offer Stone 7 years at $8M minimum.
