I’m not going to roast you but those trades aren’t fixing our defense, many of them are just unnecessary. We could use a top rhd. Need a jones or a manson or pesce like player. Our defense has been okay this year our goaltending has been rough.

I don't know how this fixes the Leaf defence. Hanifan isn't that special. Heck he may not be as good as Dermot and you wanted to throw in Nylander in the deal too.
I'm not sure how replacing Zaitsev with Tanev helps that much and especially if you want to trade Ozhingov who might...might be a NHL regular too.
If Canadians have to include two picks along with DeLarose, for Johnsson, how good is DeLarose?

Yeah that’s the only problem. Signing Tavares gave them huge cap problems. They might have to move Kadri to get some sort of cap and get a cheaper 3rd line piece. Good to note that Marleau comes off soon too

Signing Marleau is giving TML huge cap problems with knowing Nylander, Marner and Matthews are coming on line in the middle of his contract ( and few others, 11 in total ) not the Tavares one. Tavares was pretty much sure shot to come to TML this year, he was hunted by Burke, when he wasnt even draftable.

For your simulation....Tanev will play less games in his career then Zaitsev & Ozhiganov together this season, Myers im not sure if his skills are 6M worthy stretching contract nto his 34y and Hanifin i already commented...would be nice to have the kid tho.
For the Offence aquisitions....they arent needed.

DLR is actually great under Julien as coach but would become a steaming pile of **** under any other coach as evidenced by his career to date.

that being said we dont need anyone back for him so we would never package picks like that for him .
DLR will get traded for a 4th or a 5th at most in my opinion mostly because its his Conditioning that sucks which is why Claude Julien started using him as a 4th line center and he's been great in a defensive checking role .
before CJ he was afraid to use his big body to hit , now its his go to move :P

Well, since this is cap league, yea I would take 900,00 for two years Dermot over the 4.9m Hanifan all day long. And yes, Hanifan isn't that special. And yes, Dermot might be better now, and if not now, very soon.

Calgary just make a trade to get Hanifin. No way to see them trading the kid this season and probably in the near future. We have to remember that they traded Hamilton to get him. So, forget about it. The other trades ain't that bad. But the point to me is: you don't solve Leafs D problem.
