Too many middling guys

Congrats, you successfully traded two 1sts for a 34 year old goalie who has been mediocre the last two years, and a LHD we don't need.

It's not middling players that is the problem. It's middling EXPENSIVE players that is the problem. I'd say too much for Markstrom and too little for Chychrun. Hasn't Kane already effectively said he will not be returning?

why would the wings ship a 1st and husso for a 36yr old tendy? if husso isnt playing or think he is that bad, just buy him out and trade for a younger goalie if thats what you want to upgrade. Ottawa says no to that trade easily and Chychrun will not help solve the problems on defense and getting lindstrom back surely wont either.

We are thin at RD, and Lindstrom and Gudas are the only two right-handed NHL-qualified defensemen we have under contract for next season, so I doubt that we will be trading Lindstrom for a left-handed middling forward, of whom we have many.
