Based on Friedman's reporting where potentially if OTT was put in a position where they feel inclined to move Pinto (NOT saying he wants a trade or that the team wants to trade him), OTT would look to move him and one other player with cap and term to clear out space, while still remaining as much if not more competitive than they would otherwise be. This option gives CAR a guy with minimum 20 goal production who could develop into a true 2nd line center, while giving OTT the best current player in the deal in TT and a bottom 6 center in Drury who gives them good, young NHL depth, while also alleviating some cap concerns as well.
