Add protection to that '24 1st, and I'd be pretty happy with that trade value for CBJ.

Still, I'm not sure I want CBJ trading for Lindholm and giving him that contract. What's the cost for Backlund (assuming no NTC issues)?

Sabres aren’t sending Mitts and a first for Hanifin, honestly doubt they’d do Mitts for Hanifin one for one. Don’t need another LD when we have Dahlin, Power and Samuelsson.

If I had to rate calgary players that I might wanna acquire, I would go lindholm>tanev>hanifin=markstrom. I don't see the Sabres having cap space to sign lindholm long term, so it would be a rental. Tanev would be nice, the problem is the Sabres signed Clifton and Johnson, and the optics would be awful if they acquired another right d that pushed johnson to the press box. Hanifin just doesn't work here, sure he would be wonderful on our third pair, but he's due for a new contract, and he would have better opportunities on 20 other teams. Markstrom would be nice if the cost was super cheap, but calgary is better off seeing if he can get back to form rather than sell low.
