In team cap hits are a challenge. JT, Marner and AM all have huge cap hits. Nylander is considered core 4. Makes for challenges.

Hey I'm a Leafs fan and don't want to argue with you. But I do find it fascinating the love he's getting now when all I feel I heard for the last few years on him was criticism.

The issue is that Toronto has set a precedent for the core. Dubas didn't expect Marner or Matthews to make less, why would Willy be the only one making that sacrifice? The culture in Toronto is the issue
