Sharks, Ducks and Hawks all decline. All 3 of those deals heavily favor the Pens.

I'd say Granlund trade is the only one that definitely favors PIT. Petry is the 2RD for Anaheim. He's better than Gudas- who's a bottom pairing player making $4m/yr. This notion that Petry is useless to be given away for nothing without a replacement is very flawed. Overpaid perhaps, but he's no comparison to Granlund or Carter. There's no unrestricted free agent in this class that would equally replace him.
As for San Jose, according to Friedman retention might be 50% required just to move him. With his full no movement clause only Carolina and Pittsburgh are in consideration at this time. Supposedly Seattle is out. They're not getting close to fair value for a reigning Norris trophy winner nor should they with his durability and huge contract.

The Sharks need to retain more on Karlsson to justify the return.

Petry to the Blackhawks could be more realistic than the Ducks. He wants to be closer to home (Michigan). Chicago is closer than Anaheim.

Granlund to the Ducks is probable. The Ducks need to fill a roster and use cap space.

Karlsson has "asked" to be traded. He's not "demanding". Big difference. Seems he's perfectly willing to stay in San Jose if that's what happens. So Sharks will try to accommodate him if the deal makes sense to Grier. This whole "Sharks have no leverage" narrative isn't true. In my opinion, this isn't a good deal for the Sharks.

Yes, the Ducks need a RD. But a 35 y.o. Petry at over $6m per for two years? Can't see them taking him for a one round move up. Again, just my opinion, but I'm not doing that if I'm Verbeek. And is Petry even going to waive to go to CA? That seems like a longshot too.

Ducks won't have much cap space once Terry and Zegras sign, so probably not. However, if you pay for Henrique and include Grandlund in that deal to even out cap, might work. You'd have to pay for that though
