I agree I would like this a lot but I think the deal is also good as is if need be.

CBJ pass. No need for Foegele and Peeke is worth a 2nd or a 3rd.

Likewise I don't think Peeke is the defenceman that Columbus tries to move this offseason.

Unless it's been reported elsewheres, it makes more sense that the Blue Jackets attempt to move Boqvist. Gudbranson may not be the best player in the NHL but the size element he brings to the Columbus back end isn't well replicated by anyone else on the roster. Some combination of Werenski, Bean, and Blankenburg will efficiently eat up any available powerplay time (which was one of Boqvist's upsides as early as his draft year) and Peeke is a far better two-way defender without the concussion history.

There's this overwhelming idea on this forum that Jiricek needs to be in the NHL next season. While it's buy-and-large a terrible stat, his -11 at the AHL level shows there's still room to grow. I think this next season is the season where David spends the year as the primary call-up in the vent of injury but he likely starts in the AHL, especially with Babcock at the helm.
