This is all over the place messy.
First off, pens decline the wpg trade. That’s just bad on so many levels. First off, if Winnipeg is trading Hellebuyck and Ehlers, then they are blowing it up and rebuilding. So they wouldn’t really want Guentzel. They’d want picks and prospects. Secondly, Guentzel is the best player in this whole trade. 40 goal scorers that are ppg players have more value than goalies and a guy making the same cap hit for like half the production. So no thanks. I’d much rather keep Guentzel and just trade picks/prospects for them. Which would be a 1st plus. 3rd if Winnipeg is trading Hellebuyck they may as well retain half and get the most value for him.
You have the picks going the wrong way in the Granlund and Carter trades. Also Carter absolutely does NOT waive unless there is an agreement to buy him out and he can sign with the pens again for a cheaper deal.
