Massive rebuild

Dubois gets moved to a team he desires. WPG gets a solid C prospect in return and a mid level first rounder. Armia returns to WPG after few years away, added mostly for cap reasons.

SEA adds a top line forward and a solid defensive D-man to strengthen their team up. WPG gets a replacement center, younger Manitoba-born center and a solid D prospect, alongside some good picks for their rebuild.

OTT acquires one of the top goalies in the league, alongside a depth forward. WPG gets in return a young D-man, some good future assets, and also takes in some cap.

Wheeler has been in a sense the face of the franchise for a decade now in good and bad, and I think now it's time for a change for both. Minnesota as a team have had 3 fairly lackluster playoff runs, and I think some change is needed in there. They add a Minnesota born veteran forward to bolster up their offense a bit. Due to their limited cap space, Jets agree to retain half of Wheeler's cap hit. In return, WPG receives a player due for a raise, as well as some picks.

When Niederreiter was last traded, he went for a 2nd round pick. I don't think this valuation has changed to any direction at this stage. In this scenario, I think Calgary would be interested in his services, provided they find the cap space for it.

FLA has a need for a defensive D-man and depth guys, so I believe DeMelo and Toninato are solid fits here. Due to Florida's sucky situation with draft picks, WPG opt to take in two decent prospects.

Optional trade, if WSH wants to move on from Mantha, perhaps a player swap between two tad overpaid guys is in the cards? Personally though if I were WSH, I'd hesitate on moving Mantha, but maybe a move as such could help both teams. WPG can turn Mantha into futures around the deadline.

Change of scenery for a young D-man in the draft. TOR takes a punt on the guy for a mid round pick.

After a lackluster year Pens decide to bolster their offense. Ehlers would be a really solid fit to play with Crosby and Guentzel imo. They also add Capobianco to even out contracts. In exchange, WPG gets a Manitoba born D prospect, some good picks, and take in some cap.
