Nashville fans, help me out here. If the Preds go into a rebuild, what is the cost for Saros? I know there's no bargaining out of this one, but what would it take? Pickering and Blomqvist are probably a good two year away from being ready to play at the NHL level which would be good timing if NSH begins a rebuild.

This can be to any team willing to take it.": If a player retires, there is no obligation by any team to take on cap or cash for the years(s) the player has retired. Now there is cap implications in case of front loaded contract, which doesn't apply to Carter.

Hawks probably decline. 2 years and $11m in real dollars probably takes that 1st just to move out. A 2nd for certain. Assuming a 2nd is enough, Hawks don't send TRad just to upgrade the certain 2nd to a 1st.
