Why is Vrana worth a 1st+- when he passed waivers?

Why would Calgary pay premium to upgrade their 3rd pair?

Ledge is right, none of these happen nor are they even relatively close to being in Calgary’s best interests

He made it through waives because he need more time in the AHL and had already used the time allotted for conditioning. So why would a team claim him when just to send through waivers again. He has played 10 games int he AHL and his 2 goals have come in the last 2 games and that is why he won't return a 1st at least not yet. It amazes me how many people don't understand how waivers work.

The point was Vrana could have been claimed off waivers for nothing, so why is he all of a sudden worth any assets, let alone this package.

Vrana seems to be going through some personal and substance abuse issues, isn’t performing and needs to pull himself together, hence why he was demoted

Flames should steer clear and not bring in any problems and use those assets for something much much much better & reliable
