Giroux 1 year contract

You have to explain why EJ would have New Jersey or any team with cap on his 12 team trade list. Sorry that 6m cap hit stays with the Avs.

Feel like 6 million will take more than a 2nd to get off the books. Also does this make it hard to fit Mackinnon's future contract in after next season? Or will his contract only be like 11 mil?

And no, with Giroux, Drouin and Computer coming off the books, that's $12 million right there to work with. MacKinnon probably gets $12 million (+$6 mil from current contract).

No way, no how the Avs want Drouin or will pay to get him. At this point, I see EJ coming back for another run. You're overpaying NAK by about $1M and probably overpaying Kuemper. Would be great to talk Giroux into a few years but at a lower rate - don't think he would do it but maybe he looks at this team and thinks, "Yeah, let's do that to finish my career."

Those are pretty high values on the contracts. And just say no to Drouin.
