Buffalo is barely going to stay above the cap floor without signing the literal worst value contracts in sports. Muzzin's cap hit should help stall the issue until Buffalo can get proper value contracts to actual players

Anderson and Scott both fit the Anaheim timeline way better than Gibson and could maybe even be found on the roster in like 4 years if They're lucky. Mrazek is (lets be honest) more of a cap dump that shouldn't sting Anaheim too hard in the future and could also maybe possibly potentially hypothetically bounce back? (He wont but Anaheim won't know that)

This trade is mostly for cap and draft picks. No sugar coating it, that's all there is to it.

We can all agree that Edmonton is more or less frothing at the mouth at a goalie that isn't Koskinen or Smith, and skinner has yet to really take his step into NHL goaltending, so this should make sense. If not, just use your imagination and change the draft picks around until you're happy.
