This is based on no significant moves at this year's deadline.

Seravalli has reported Letang is willing to take in the $7M range on a five year contract.

I'm low-balling Geno's cap hit by a little. I'm expecting the $7.1M contract, but I'm shaving off a little more just as a "best case" scenario.

I'm also a believer in Valeri Puustinen and think he's going to make an impact.

No, it's going up by $1M.

As far as their cap is concerned, I'm not sure only because I don't who they're keeping and/or re-signing. It would be a $2M increase for one year and then they'd be free, whereas with Kassian he's got two more years.

I'm sure EDM fans will yell at me if I"m wrong about that.

With Kassian...I don't know. I get it, you drop an extra year of the contract, but they've only got like $10 mil free next year, with Poolparty, and a few other to sign, including a goalie if they're not running Smith...Unless they can get out of the Barrie contract, they really can't afford to take something like that on right now, IMO. Gotta somehow upgrade the D.

I feel like the pens should decline that Kassian trade. It just adds more term that will hurt us in the future
