Playing Texier with Stützle would be fun (call them the Maginot Line), but no way does it make sense to give up an unprotected 1st for him, and it's not even remotely close. There are a handful of players in the league that it would make sense to move an unprotected 1st for, and Texier isn't close to that conversation.

Not just a top ten, but an unprotected top 10 pick.

I think Ottawa is the best fit for Tex, but totally get the hesitation in giving up a top 10 pick. I also don't think that you're allowed to put multiple years' worth of protections on a draft pick. Not sure if that's actually the case, but I figured Ottawa would probably rather not give up a ticket in the Bedard/Michkov sweepstakes.

If Ottawa was to pursue a Texier type trade it wouldn’t be with high picks. Maybe Brannstrom and a 2nd . That’s probably the max. But idk if I’m that high on Texier or not. Do I think he’s a top 6F , I’m really not sure .
