Mrazek has only been in 3 games where the team played like **** yet he still came out with 2 wins.

If the teams plays better in front of him the numbers will go up

Koskinen though lets in to many softies

As for Ritchie, nah package him off for someone at the deadline rather than pay to move him for nothing

Do I think Koskinen is as bad as people think he is? No. Do I want to trade for Koskinen who currently costs more than Mrazek and is worse than him as opposed to moving him in the offseason and having more cap now? No. What if Mrazek turns around and puts up stellar numbers in the playoffs / rest of season? Even then we could still move him and get a better return

Is Ritchie really that bad? Leafs fans have been throwing him in trades like nothing. In the offseason I thought it was a great signing for Torontos top 6

Doesn't make sense for the Oilers to take on the remaining years of Mrazeks deal.

Oilers need a starter. Mrazek, Smith, and Koskinen are not that. None of them are reliable at this point. So the Oilers are better off letting Koskinens deal run out and build the goalie tandem in the offseason from scratch. Skinner is all but guaranteed the backup role as he is no longer waiver exempt. Given that, the Oilers will look at making a deal for a legitimate starter. If (and likely when given Hollands trade record) that doesn't work, we will look at the free agent options (which there aren't many great options). If free agency also fails, then maybe they look to pry a 1B level goalie from a team with cap troubles.

If the best availible option is Mrazek, the Oilers are in a lot of trouble.

He doesn't fit into the Leaf's playing style, hence he looks lost and confused, so either Keefe sucks as a coach or Dubas sucks as a GM or the player just plainly sucks.

The contract is trade proof, the guy is set to make $3.3 million next season, no team wants that, bottom feeding teams want a high salary cap hit but low cash payout player.

Dubas should not be thinking about moving an asset, be it prospect or mid Round pick, to make his problem go away.

Ritchie will have to be bought out next summer. At least the Kessel retained money is finally finished.
