Wild over the cap next year

So I know Evolving Hockey projections are usually pretty close...but I’m feeling sticker shock over that Kahk contract. Is that not high?

Let's imagine the cap goes to 84.5m, then they are over 4.7m. Trade Dumba and Soucy with no cap returned. now Wild have 4m in cap space.....Two 2m Dman completes the roster.
But it looks like the Wild of 22/23 won't be as good as the 21/22 version

Simpler path may be to get Kaprizov to sign bridge deal....$6m x 2 years
Trade Dumba, promote Addison or Mennell.

No chance Kahokanen gets that deal. If Kirill signs that deal, I’m all in. But it doesn’t change that we can pick 2 of Fiala/Dumba/Kirill, it’ll be a tough choice but I think you need to make that decision this off-season to maximize value.

Two other notes, if you are going to pay Greenway 2.6 to play on the 4th line then you need to trade him. A 4th line wing should never make more than a mil. Same with a 3rd pairing D. Cole at 3 mil is not worth it unless he plays up in the lineup.

Even simpler path... Seattle takes Kahkonen. There's 3.5M off your cap when you call up Hunter Jones.
